founded 1952, built 1953/54 - 1973,, reconstruction and renovation 1998 - 2002

Location and architecture:
The International Students' House is very close to the main university. The Social and Business Sciences Faculty as well as the Theology Faculty are 15 minutes on foot and the Technical Faculty can be reached in about 20 minutes by public transport.

The bus station is 3 minutes away from the Medical University and the main university. Innsbruck's town centre and old town are about 10 minutes away on foot.

Despite being centrally located the ISH is in a quiet area due to its large inner courtyard and its location near the River Inn.

Kitchen block, shower/ toilet, Internet connection, telephone connection, satellite TV connection, seminar rooms with the most modern technical equipment, music room (with a piano and keyboard), fitness center, billiards and table tennis rooms, weights room, common rooms, quiet rooms, TV rooms, "Max Kade Saal" function hall, washing and drying rooms, ski storage room, ski and snowboard safes, security around the clock: there is a porter at the entrance!

Description and characteristics:
Special features: the oldest Austrian students' hall of residence, the largest in Tyrol, there are students from over 40 nations under one roof, used as the press hotel for the IX Olympic Winter Games in 1964, where there were 450 international journalists reporting on the Games.
