Description and characteristics:
In the area of the Seidelstraße, near the city centre, directly next to the Institute for Sports Science at the Friedrich-Schiller University a twin apartment block is being built. Up to now the first block, Block B or the Jena Max Kade House has been completed. The building, conceived by the architect Prof. Dipl.-Ing. G. Günschel, consists of 3 storeys in a massive construction form around a large courtyard.
The rooms face the outside with a view of the trees and grass. The entrances are via the stairs and the arbours from the courtyard. Due to the rooms facing the outside there is peace and quiet. The walls are made of plastered brick and fulfil the modern heat and noise regulations.
